"Get out of the Hanover bubble. A lot of students tend to stay on campus and don’t leave; I’m guilty of that too. But, I realized the impact we, as the college, can have on the community and made me realize how important it is. It’s easy for us to sit here on our hill with our education and everything we need, we’re very privileged, but Madison needs us. It has a huge drug problem and that’s so sad, and so are the suicide rates. But, what can we do about it? We need to work on making those connections with the community. We don’t have to solve the opioid crisis, but we need to know what we can do to aid or provide relief. We’re a part of that community. Try to break that bubble."
