An energetic, fun conversation about food, wine and healthy living will open the Hanover Enrichment Series as television personality, model, chef and author Antoni Porowski visits the Hanover College campus.
“An Evening with Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski” will be held Friday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in Collier Arena.
Porowski stirs the senses with his contributions as the food and wine connoisseur on “Queer Eye,” as well as his recently released cookbook, “Antoni in the Kitchen,” and his New York City restaurant, The Village Den. Inspired by chefs Julia Child, Jacques Pépin, Anthony Bourdain, and – most importantly – his own mother, Porowski has worked in restaurants from Montreal to New York City, where he honed his craft and discovered his place in the culinary world.
He continues to connect with audiences around the globe, uniquely influenced by his underlying culinary philosophy: food should tell a story and the heart and the stomach are inter-connected.
Porowski – and the members of the “Fab Five” – were listed among 2018’s top entertainers of the year by “Entertainment Weekly.” That year, he was also a finalist for the People’s Choice Awards top reality television star honor and winner of Eater’s 2018 #Brand of the Year.
The event will include a moderated conversation with Beatrice Marovich, assistant professor of theological studies, and also feature a cooking demonstration.
General admission tickets are now available online. Seats cost just $20 each for adults, while tickets for students of any age (and any school) are free. [TICKETS]
The Hanover Enrichment Series is presented by Tricia and Will Hagenah, with additional support from German American Bank.
