Learn more about Dr. Romero-Reyes

Misael Romero-Reyes is a professor in the department of chemistry who is committed to teaching and promoting science communication focusing on the importance of scientific research in the classroom. In his classes he tries to motivate students and engage them in research for their future careers, whichever they may lie.

He also aims his efforts on bridging the gap between researchers and the general public by teaching researchers how to make their science more relevant, so it is no longer only understood by a niche community. In terms of research, he works at the interface of chemical biology and materials chemistry. He is working to develop innovative methods that enhance the removal of small molecule contaminants from water.
