Biography

Christy Hughes came to Hanover College in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Ball State University.  Prior to joining Hanover's staff, Hughes worked as an online educational advisor in Indianapolis, where she assisted individuals seeking degrees or professional certificates entirely through distance learning.

At Hanover, Christy began her career as the Office Assistant where she provided administrative support in the day-to-day operations for the Office.  She also assisted in the implementation of on-and off-campus activities such as Homecoming/Class Reunions, Hanover Day at Churchill Downs, Pub Night, and Senior Banquet.  In January 2016, she became the Assistant Director and continued working with the Alumni Advantage ID Card, Legacy Outreach Program, License Plate Program and merchandise marketing and distribution.

In September 2016, Christy began her role as the Director of Alumni Relations where she will be responsible for the planning and implementation of programs and projects that strategically engage alumni in strengthening programs and provide tangible benefits to alumni and current students.

Originally from Crawfordsville, Ind., Christy and her husband, Dan, live in Madison, Ind., and are the parents of three children, Jessica, Corbin and Grayson.
