|Baccalaureate – 6:00 p.m. at Lynn Center for Fine Arts, Fitzgibbon Recital Hall|
Seniors will march in cap and gown; Hanover faculty will march in full regalia. (Seating is limited in the Recital Hall. If seating is full, guests will be able to watch a live stream of the services in an overflow room down the hall.) A "baccalaureate" has traditionally been understood as a farewell address, in the form of a sermon, given to a graduating class. To commemorate the wonderful occasion of graduation and the adventures that follow this milestone, Hanover is hosting a Christian worship service, honoring Hanover's roots in the Presbyterian tradition. The service is approximately an hour in length and will feature the Hanover Choir, and addresses from the College President, Campus Chaplain, and members of the Class of 2019. The sermon will be delivered by our guest preacher, the Rev. Christopher Henry, who currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis. Parking is available behind CFA and the Library. No tickets required.
