- Time: Gates open at 11:30 a.m. with post time at 12:45 p.m. Last race will be after 6:00 p.m.
- Buffet: Available from 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
(Ice tea, water and coffee are included and sodas are available for purchase).

This long-standing event is a staple for our alumni and friends every year. The ticket price includes the delicious chef table buffet, race program, and admittance to Millionaires Row.
Millionaires Row 6 features conveniently located mutuel windows, self-service wagering machines, multiple television monitors and a balcony overlooking the finish line. Cash bars are open throughout the floor as well. (Please ensure that you have proper ID when ordering from the cash bar).
This special day features The Alumni Classic, where each college in attendance is 'given' a horse to represent their school. Hanover's designated horse in this race won in 2011 and 2012 and earned a total of $5000 in donations to the college from Churchill Downs!
What Do I Need to Know?
- How Many Tickets are Available?
The Alumni Engagement Office has been able to secure 200 tickets. These tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis only. Additional tickets will not be available.
- Where Will I be Sitting?
Assigned seating will be arranged and labeled on your ticket. The Alumni Engagement Staff will do their best to sit you with alumni from or near your class year. If you would like to move your chair to another table, you may, however, please move it from your designated table.
- What if I Have a Large Group?
Every effort will be made to keep large groups together; however, because there are only 8 seats to a table some groups may have tickets at two tables. Churchill’s seating chart layout will be used to ensure that those tables are side-by-side so that your group is still near each other.
- How Will I Receive my Tickets?
Tickets will be mailed to the individual who purchased the tickets approximately two weeks prior to the event.
- What is the Dress Code?
Shirts with collars, sweaters, dresses, pantsuits, and slacks are preferred and jackets are optional. Blazers, vest, golf shorts, dress shorts, dress jeans, and capris are appropriate. Worn or torn garments, tank tops, or midriff tops are not allowed.
- Is Parking Available?
Complimentary parking is available on a first-come, first served basis in the Longfield parking lot, accessible through Longfield Avenue, also referred to as Gate 10. The Longfield parking lot also features handicapped parking, subject to availability, and valet parking for $5 per vehicle. Wheelchairs are at all gates if needed to transport you to your seat location, based on availability. Please call 502-636-4400 to reserve a wheelchair in advance if you will need one.
- What If I am Unable to Attend?
Contact the Alumni Office ASAP. Refunds will only be issued if we are able to re-sell your tickets.
