HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover men’s lacrosse team will return to Ohio River Lacrosse Conference action this weekend with a trip to Westminster (Pa.).

The Panthers paused from ORLC play last weekend with a road trip at Cornell (Iowa), which resulted in a 14-13 loss. Hanover is 2-10 overall and 1-3 in ORLC play prior to Saturday’s noon road match.

In the loss at Cornell last Saturday, junior Chad Szczublewski (La Grange, Ky.) and senior Brock Warner (Greenwood, Ind.) combined for nine of the 13 HC goals. Szczublewski scored the first three goals for Hanover, en route to tallying a team high five scores. Warner helped the Blue and Red’s comeback attempt late by scoring the final four Panther goals.

On the year, Szczublewski and Warner are the top two goals scorers for Hanover with 23 and 18 goals respectively. The two are also tied for second on the squad in total points with 25.

Sophomore Joe DeLeo (Waterford, Mich.) leads the team in total points with 26. DeLeo has 13 goals and 13 assists in 2017.

In net, freshman Noah Dubrava (Centerville, Ohio) ranks among the nation’s best in saves per game and save percentage. Dubrava is averaging close to 15 saves per game, which is third in the ORLC and 14th in the NCAA. His 0.599 save percentage leads the conference and is 16th nationally.

Westminster will enter Saturday with a 6-6 overall record and 2-3 mark in the ORLC. The Titans are coming off a 15-9 road loss at Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) Wednesday night, and are 5-2 at home this year.

Ryan Shorts leads the Titans in all three scoring categories, having recorded 37 goals and 19 assists thus far, for a total of 56 points.

The Panthers won last year’s meeting in Hanover, 17-12. Six players for HC recorded at least two goals, while four players tallied three scores.
