HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover men’s soccer team will conclude its non-conference schedule Tuesday against Wilmington (Ohio), and then begin its Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference season Saturday at Manchester.

The Panthers, currently 5-2-0 overall, are riding a four-match winning streak after winning their only contest last week, a 4-0 road victory over Spalding Sunday.

Junior Tanner Korfhagen (Cincinnati, Ohio) scored twice and had an assist to give him a team-best 12 points on the season. Through seven matches, the first-year transfer ranks among the top five in the HCAC in points and goals (5).

Another first-year player, freshman Will Bedel (Walton, Ky.) is off to a strong start in his collegiate career. In six starts, Bedel has allowed only four goals (0.67 GaAvg.), made 20 saves, and has recorded two complete-game shutouts, while also playing half of the team’s third.

The Panthers will then return to action Saturday, Sept. 30 when they travel to North Manchester, Ind. to play Manchester in the HCAC-opener for both schools.
