Biography:

Nancy Rodgers, who came to Hanover in 1990, previously taught mathematics at Kent State University for ten years. Her current interests include abstract algebra, geometry, topology, and the application of technology to pedagogy.

She has developed computer laboratory experiences for most of her courses as well as the department's introductory course in mathematical reasoning, for which she is writing a textbook.

Rodgers enjoys theater, writing, music and travel.

Biography:

Professor Bradshaw joined Hanover College in 2007, having previously taught at Centre College.

Michael has always been interested in solving everyday problems using computer science. His thesis work was in building networked solutions for Internet video delivery. Since then Michael has branched out into Interdisciplinary studies. In particular the areas of computational science, computer animation and 3D computer modeling. He is presently working on Web-based solutions for teaching at Hanover College.

In his spare time (which doesn't really exist), Michael enjoys reading sci-fi books, cooking, and tabletop role-playing games.

Biography:

John Collins came to Hanover after teaching for six years at the University of Miami (Coral Gables, FL). His scholarly interests include artificial intelligence and the impact of technology on modern society. His hobbies include reading, music (playing the mandolin) and restoring his antebellum home in downtown Madison, Ind. Collins also serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Hanover College.

Biography:

Professor Jagels came to Hanover in 2000 after teaching for four years at Maryville University, University of Louisville, Universidad Carlos III (Madrid), and Wilmington College. His scholarly interests include mathematical applications and actuarial science. He also enjoys languages, classical studies and mythology.

Biography:

Professor Katsov, who came to Hanover in 1992, had previously taught mathematics for 17 years at Moscow University, where he co-authored several textbooks in higher mathematics published by that University. His research interests include category theory, homological and universal algebra, mathematical logic, topology, and pedagogy, and he also enjoys reading, history, travel, swimming, and following international politics and human rights issues.

Biography:

Skiadas has been a visiting instructor in mathematics at Illinois Wesleyan University and served in several capacities at the University of Chicago as he pursued his studies there. His primary area of research is algebraic geometry and its interaction with the theory of linear systems of partial differential equations. He is also interested in exploring the ways in which computers can assist in mathematical research.
