Stage set for great 97th-annual Homecoming celebration!
Hanover’s 97th-annual Homecoming Weekend presents a great opportunity to visit campus, connect with friends new and old, and stir memories from a transformational chapter in your life!
Homecoming 2024 will be held Oct. 4-6 and this year’s festivities include a wide collection of activities to create a fantastic weekend. Whether you wish to hang out in the tailgate lot with friends and family, stroll through campus and around the Point, gather in your Greek house, chat with former professors or reminisce about significant events in the College’s history, there’s something on tap for you.

This year’s Homecoming features the 50-year reunion for Hanover’s Class of 1974. The Class of 1999 will mark 25 years since their graduation and the Class of 2014 will celebrate its 10-year anniversary.
Pete Corrao ’76, John Stanley ’72, Cassi Binkley Friday ’11 and Jenn Williams ’10 will receive Hanover’s top alumni honors. Corrao and Stanley will be presented with the Alumni Achievement Award. Friday and Williams will receive the Distinguished Young Alumni Award.
Two unique events will explore vastly different elements that have made an impact on campus life. A morning commemoration of the 1974 tornado offers insights into the infamous storm that devastated campus. That afternoon, the Nichols Lifetime Inquiry Series presents a look at 25 years of Hanover’s semester-long study abroad program.
Intercollegiate athletic events will be plentiful and the adjacent tailgate lot will provide its own ongoing action with HanoverFest rolling throughout the day.
Women’s tennis will face Shawnee State in a 10 a.m. match at the Zeddies Tennis Center. The football squad will square off against Mount St. Joseph University at 1:30 p.m. at Alumni Stadium. The women’s and men’s soccer teams will battle Bluffton University in back-to-back contests at the soccer complex (1 p.m./3:30 p.m.).
