Lambert appointed to NCAA III Presidents Council

Hanover College President Lake Lambert has been named to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Presidents Council. He began a four-year term in late January.
The Presidents Council serves as the highest governing body in NCAA Division III. The council implements policies adopted by the NCAA Board of Governors, establishes and directs the general policies of the division, provides oversight of the division’s budget and establishes strategic priorities. The Presidents Council, which meets four times each year, may sponsor amendments to the NCAA constitution and adopt noncontroversial and intent-based amendments.
Lambert, who has served as Hanover’s president since 2015, is one of 23 members of the council, which includes 21 college/university chief executives and two National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representatives. At least two executive members of the council are included from each of the division’s four geographical regions.
Lambert also currently serves as a member of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference President’s Council. He is the league’s only representative on the NCAA Division III Presidents Council.
