Debbie Hanson originally hails from Illinois and earned her doctorate at Indiana University in curriculum and instruction with a major emphasis in science education. She is a certified teacher in the State of Indiana for grades 5-12 and taught in the Seymour (IN) Middle School from 1985-1993. She has taught as an adjunct faculty member at IUPUI in Columbus (IN) and as an assistant instructor at IU-Bloomington. From 1998-2002, Hanson worked as an education coordinator at Kidscommons, the Columbus Children’s Museum.
