Jonathan Stanley is Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Bands and Orchestra at Hanover College. He holds degrees in organ performance and church music from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, and the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. His principal organ teachers include Joseph Golden, Larry Smith, Marilyn Keiser, and Christopher Young, and he has studied voice with Patricia Havranek. During his studies, he also performed on trombone and double bass in instrumental ensembles, broadening his experience across instrumental traditions.

Stanley is an active collaborative musician, with particular expertise in organ repertoire. In addition to his academic work, he serves as organist for several congregations in the Madison and Hanover communities.
