Angela Withered brings more than a decade of experience in strategic communication, writing, and education to her work at Hanover College. As Assistant Director of Communications and Stewardship in the Office of Advancement, she leads donor communications and engagement strategies designed to strengthen relationships between the College and its alumni, donors, and friends. Her work includes assisting withstewardship programs and annual giving event as well as crafting messaging that celebrates philanthropy and the impact of giving on the Hanover College community. 

In addition to her role in Advancement, Angela serves as adjunct faculty in the Communication Department, where she teaches Writing for PR and Advertising (COM 246). Her teaching emphasizes the intersection of clarity, creativity, and audience awareness. 

Angela holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (Poetry) from the Naslund-Mann Graduate School of Writing at Spalding University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Hanover College. She lives in Madison with her wife, Kendall Withered ‘12, and children, Maggie and Skyler.
