Music Performances

All programs are in Lynn Center for Fine Arts, Fitzgibbon Recital Hall unless otherwise indicated. Events are free, except where noted, and open to the public. Programs are subject to change. If you have questions regarding the music performances please call (812) 866-7327.

All performances are general admission. Although tickets are not required, we encourage you to reserve tickets in advance. Tickets need not be printed as long as the bar code can be scanned from your cell phone upon entry.

Patrons requiring special seating consideration due to a medical condition should contact the Box Office at (812) 866-7110 to make advance arrangements. Availability of special seating depends on the performance venue.

A choral celebration for the holiday season. Sit back and take in the jubilant sounds or add your voice to the festive selection of sing-along favorites. Enjoy some winter-themed cookies baked and decorated by the choir members and wear your ugliest holiday sweater for a chance to win a prize by guest judge President Lambert. Parking is located behind the Brown Memorial Chapel (7).

The Hanover College Concert Choir, Madison Ohio Valley Community Chorus, and Louisville area orchestra will usher in the Christmas season with the 44th presentation of selections from Handel’s oratorio “Messiah.” The Fitzgibbon Recital Hall in the Lynn Center for Fine Arts will once again open its doors on Sunday, December 3 at 2 p.m. to welcome the audience for this holiday favorite. The performance will be directed by Dr. Madlen Batchvarova who is in her 15th year as conductor of the event. Reception to follow the performance in the Art Gallery.
This year's performance is sponsored by the Community Foundation of Madison and Jefferson County through a grant from the Clifford O. Taylor Memorial Endowment for the Performing Arts.
