Hometown: Nashville, Indiana.

What did you do prior to Hanover? Middle/high school English teacher also assistant women’s basketball coach at Hanover since 2015.

What do you love about Hanover? Obviously the beauty of Hanover is easy to love but what I have found is the people of Hanover makes this place even more special.

What’s your favorite place on campus or in Madison? My favorite place on campus is my house; yes, my family lives right in the heart of campus. I love the atmosphere of lower Madison with the river, historical buildings, quaint shops and local restaurants.

What are some of your interests, and what sort of things keep you busy? Outside of the admissions role I am also the assistant women’s basketball coach at Hanover and my wife works in the Office of Student Life. We are truly Hanover-centric. I also have a teenage son entering high school, so his activities also keep me busy.

What’s your pump-up song? “Celebration” by Kool and the Gang.

Is there anything that you’ve always wanted to do but never have? Go to the World Series (when the Chicago Cubs are playing).

If you could visit one place in the world, where would it be – and why? London, England. I am a big Sherlock Holmes fan and would like to see 221 B Baker St. and learn more about Victorian England.

What’s something that your coworkers might not know about you? In high school I played three varsity sports BUT I was also active in our Show Choir and wish I had the talent to be a professional singer.

What advice would you give to students who are navigating the college search process? “Fit” is the most important word in the college process. Does the academic piece “fit,” does the distance from home “fit,” do the co-curriculars “fit,” and does the cost “fit” with what you are looking at for your future goals and aspirations?
