“I made really strong, immediate connections with people, whether they were my friends or my professors or faculty and staff members. And it was making those connections with people that made me really want to stay at Hanover. I also felt like I was being challenged academically. It was the education that I wanted to get, and when I was in the classroom I felt like I was being pushed to think more critically and I was being pushed to become more of the person that I wanted to be. And that’s what’s really hard to leave, right? That’s really compelling to feel like you are actually being challenged and you’re being pushed to be a better person and a more creative thinker. I was really attracted to that and then, I made some of my best friends in the world here and at a certain point, it’s like you can’t leave because your whole world is right here. But the thought to leave Hanover never crossed my mind.”
