ACCOUNTING PATHWAY IN THE BUSINESS MAJOR

Hanover College has established privileged access to the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, and the Master of Science in Accountancy (MACC) at Xavier University’s Williams College of Business.

The Accounting Pathway at Hanover is designed to guide business majors through the prerequisites for admission to either the MSA or MACC programs. Business students completing the Accounting Pathway are eligible to enroll at IU or Xavier immediately upon graduation from Hanover and potentially sit for the CPA exam the following summer. The MSA at IU and the MACC at Xavier are both intensive, full-time graduate degree programs.

Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business MSA Pathway Requirements:

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree from Hanover College.
  • Completion of all business major requirements; completion of BSP 325, BSP 326, and BSP 327.
  • Completion of the following IU Bloomington or equivalent courses: BUS-A311, BUS-A312, BUS-A325, BUS-A329, BUS-A424, BUS-K201, BUS-L201.
  • Two letters of recommendation from Hanover College faculty.
  • An admissions interview with Kelley School faculty or staff member.
  • A minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.20.
  • IU has waived the requirement that Hanover students take the GMAT or GRE.

Xavier University’s Williams College of Business MACC Pathway Requirements:

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree from Hanover College.
  • Completion of all business major requirements; completion of BSP 325, BSP 326, BSP 327, and BSP 351.
  • Two letters of recommendation from Hanover College BSP faculty.
  • An admissions interview with Williams College faculty or staff member.
  • A recommended minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.20.
  • Xavier has waived the requirement that Hanover students take the GMAT or GRE.
