Parker Auditorium stands as one of Hanover College’s most recognizable and meaningful landmarks, anchoring “the quad,” which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2025. For nearly 80 years, it was the setting for formative moments in students’ lives, from artistic expression to enduring personal connections. As we approach our Bicentennial, we have an opportunity and a responsibility to renew this iconic space, so it continues to serve future generations. With the first-floor Business and Entrepreneur Center now complete, Hanover is ready to undertake the final phase of Parker’s transformation: the renovation of the auditorium itself.
Completing this work will restore Parker Auditorium as a fully functioning, accessible community performing arts center. This will allow students, faculty, alumni, and the wider community to once again gather, learn, and create in this cherished space.
“For generations to come, future students and community members will know that many cared a great deal about Parker. Their names will tell the story of that care and affection.”
Michael B. Zeddies, Jr. ’77, Hanover College Board of Trustees Member and Bicentennial Campaign Chair
Naming Opportunities
As Hanover advances this final phase of Parker’s renovation, we are pleased to offer distinctive naming opportunities that allow alumni and friends to leave a lasting mark on this historic space. These recognition opportunities allow donors to demonstrate their personal connection to Parker while creating a lasting legacy. Visible throughout the building, they will serve as enduring reminders to future generations of students and guests of the commitment to preserving the College’s theatrical tradition.
Some of the most visible opportunities include dedicated rooms, offices, lobbies, windows, balconies, curtains, and equipment, with recognition levels beginning at $25,000.
Donors may also choose to honor their connection to Parker with a named seat in the auditorium with a $2,500 gift. Seat opportunities are limited, and names will be placed as commitments are received. Gifts may be spread over five years. As another way to be part of Parker’s renewal, donors may contribute to the Parker Renovation Fund.
